This charming and well executed mid century oil painting is presented in a deep, ornate frame and depicts a country cottage and garden in summer.

Signed to the rear, the artist was influenced, in varying degrees, by the pure, bright colour and loose brushwork of French Impressionsim, Post-Impressionism and fauvist painting.
